DIY Faux Christmas Wreath Makeover

Let your followers know!

Well, it’s officially the most wonderful time of the year!

This Christmas I’m really staying focused on minimal, neutral decor. I’ve been wanting to do this for years but felt like I didn’t have any decor that matches that style and didn’t want to spend the money on new decor.

Well, so far, I’m achieving that look and have spent $0!

I wanted to jazz up this basic wreath that I already had. Currently it’s very plain and the battery pack is very visible.

Here’s what to do:

1. Add in fresh greenery. I cut these cedar branches from my front yard.
2. Add in some beautiful dried flowers. I got these dried hydrangeas from my front yard.

3. Add a bow. It doesn’t need to be perfect or new. I just found some burlap and ribbon lying around and threw this messy bow together.

That’s it! Add in anything else outdoors that you find: sticks, pinecones or slice up some wood pieces.

I’d also like to throw this out there. It’s no secret our door needs some serious TLC. Often around the holidays, I tend to think the decor will only look good my home “eyesores” are fixed, or that I should save all my projects for one day when I have our dream home.

Please don’t make the mistake I did!

Some simple, elegant decor can make any space festive and look beautiful. Don’t focus on the flaws!

Happy DIYing! If you love cedar as much as I do, add it to your tablescape!
